Nantucket Blue Reblooming Hydrangea Shrub, #3 Container
Hydrangea m Nantucket Blue is a repeat blooming selection of the renowned hydrangea that continues to adorn houses on the island of NANTUCKET. This plant features glossy, rich green foliage that provides a beautiful contrast for the abundant summertime display of blue (or pink) flower clusters, which last until frost. To achieve intense blue flowers, it is recommended to use an acidifying fertilizer. Newly planted container plants require more frequent watering than established landscape plantings.
The plant is delivered directly from our nursery in a 3-gallon trade pot. It is fully rooted in the soil and can be planted immediately upon arrival, weather permitting. However, we advise against planting during frigid winter months or under drought conditions. Planting and how-to-care instructions will arrive with the shipment.
For best results, this hydrangea should be planted in USDA zones 5-9. It has a mature height of 4-6 feet and a mature spread of 4-6 feet. The glossy, rich green foliage is complemented by clusters of long-lasting light blue flowers. The plant grows well in partial shade.
It is normal for the hydrangea to be dormant (no leaves) during the late fall through the winter months. This is a natural part of the plant's life cycle, and it will leaf out again in the spring.
