We are a small, family-owned business based in Idaho, with a workforce comprising family and friends. Our passion lies in gardening and enriching the lives of our customers and community through the cultivation of flowers, vegetables, herbs, and fruits.
Isla's Garden Seeds: Locally Sourced from the United States Our seeds are sourced from high-quality farms, predominantly in the Pacific Northwest. We are committed to selling the best seeds, as we understand the importance of integrity in growing food to nourish your family. The health of our future is a driving force behind our business. The majority of our seeds are Heirloom and Non-GMO.
About Our Name Isla (pronounced Eye-Luh) is the youngest in our family, and we named our company after her because she represents the anchor for the six of us, filling our home with a playful, vibrant, and colorful joy, akin to a garden. If you've purchased seeds from us since our business formation in 2017, you may have received a rare packet with her photo on the front.
Phacelia California Bluebell Phacelia California Bluebell flowers attract bees, butterflies, and birds. You can directly sow them outdoors, 1/16" deep, in spring or fall, or start them indoors before the last frost. These flowers are bright and beautiful, making a fantastic addition to your home flower garden.
Planting and Care For direct sowing in spring, plant the seeds just below the surface of the soil. Keep the soil lightly moist until germination, which usually occurs within 7-10 days. These seeds can also be started indoors 5-6 weeks before the last frost of spring, as they germinate best in high humidity and temperatures around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Darkness and shade help with California Bluebell seed germination.
USDA Zones and Sunlight Phacelia California Bluebell thrives in USDA Zones 3 through 10, and it requires full sun to part sun/shade.
Share Your Photos We encourage you to take photos of your plants and upload them in a review. We'd love to see your Phacelia California Bluebells in their full glory!
Conclusion At Isla's Garden Seeds, we are dedicated to providing high-quality, locally-sourced seeds to help you cultivate a beautiful and bountiful garden. We take pride in our family-owned business and the joy we bring to our customers and community through the love of gardening.
